CFL helps Rochdale Foodbank

Date published: 17 September 2012

Community Focus Ltd (CFL) a social enterprise operating in the Youth & Community sector in central Rochdale lent a helping hand to Rochdale Foodbank.

CFL donated £70 towards the operations of the newly established Foodbank.

The Foodbank was set up to assist socially and economically deprived community members in Rochdale to access food parcels in difficult times.

The recent economic situation paired with austerity measures has meant more families are suffering and this is increasing on a daily basis.

Mohammad Quasim, a CFL member, said: “It is great that volunteers from the communities in Rochdale have got together to set up a Foodbank in Rochdale. This is incredibly important work which is being undertaken and will help the worst off in society.

"We urge business leaders to assist the Foodbank in their activities and aims”.

Community Focus Ltd says it is determined to help relieve oppression and suffering in society.
