Recruitment specialists accredited by the Department for Work and Pensions

Date published: 26 July 2010

Arras People, the Project Management Recruitment specialists, based in Heywood, have been awarded accredited supplier status by the Department for Work and Pensions.

The accreditation comes after 15 months of providing job search support services for newly unemployed executives to hundreds of unemployed project management professionals across the UK.

The service consists of a one-to-one consultation totalling seven hours of advice and guidance in areas such as CV review, knowing where to look for new opportunities, how to apply for roles, and interview techniques.

The accredited supplier status from the Department for Work and Pensions and the JobCentre Plus is recognition for Arras People’s continued services for unemployed professionals and also a welcome boost to the consultants at Arras who carry out the services.

Lindsay Scott of Arras People, said: “When we started the new service 15 months ago we didn’t know what to expect in terms of number of people taking up the service but it has been a very popular service and we have advised hundreds of professionals”

“It has become popular because people who work as managers and within the higher salary level roles felt that the normal JobCentre Plus services didn’t meet their needs. The service we provide is totally tailored to each individual which has meant that the success rate for finding new employment is significantly higher.”

The newly awarded accreditation for Arras People will ensure that services for the newly unemployed will continue to be delivered for the next 12 months across all locations in the UK.
