Littleborough firm gains double accreditation

Date published: 14 July 2010

Webbs Support Services in Littleborough has recently been accredited from two separate programmes.

The firm has received accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practise amongst UK contractors.

The good news doesn’t stop there for the company though, they have also been appointed as a member of Constructionline, the UK register of pre-qualified construction services.

Speaking about the SAFEcontractor accreditation, Dave Webb, Managing Director of Webbs Support Services Ltd said: “Major organisations can no longer run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies”.

“More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Webbs Support Services Ltd has done. The firms’ high standard has set an example, which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector”

Mr Webb also explained his delight at the company’s recognition from Consturctionline, he said: “This is the widest construction industry recognition so we are delighted to become a registered supplier. Many of our public sector customers are using Constructionline since it also saves them time and resources in sifting through tenders, so by being accredited with membership adds further credibility to our business.”
