High security firm with global reach relocates to Middleton

A company that produces entrance control systems used around the world, including high security anti-terrorist products, has signed a deal for new premises at Stakehill Industrial Estate, Middleton.

Broughton Controls designs, manufactures and installs entrance control security measures used in everything from football stadia (including both Manchester United and Manchester City), to military establishments for governments around the globe.

With a range of products including crash resistant road barriers and gates, to bulletproof pedestrian entrance systems, Broughton has for 30 years protected Government, industry and commercial sites. The firm has signed a ten year lease for new 20,000 sq ft premises on the Stakehill Industrial Estate.

Rochdale Development Agency worked with the business park’s agents CB Richard Ellis, to attract the company to the newly refurbished business park that specialises in warehouse and office units. A total of 36 staff are relocating from Oldham and the company has plans for future growth.
