Expert tax director comes to Rochdale

Date published: 16 February 2010

RSM Tenon, the UK’s seventh largest accountancy and business advisory firm, has appointed Steve Crompton as Director of Taxation Services. Mr Crompton, who has more than twenty years’ tax experience, will work closely with RSM Tenon’s existing clients and will support business development across the firm’s Rochdale and Bolton offices.

The appointment follows Tenon Group plc’s recent merger with RSM Bentley Jennison, which saw the creation of RSM Tenon plc.

Mr Crompton joins RSM Tenon after four years with Mazars LLP where he was a tax director in their Manchester office. Steve brings with him specialist knowledge and experience in corporate reorganisations, share schemes and Research & Development tax relief.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Crompton said: “RSM Tenon has a strong reputation for providing quality advisory services to the UK’s wealth creators and has a range of experts across many fields. Moving to RSM Tenon presents an exciting challenge for me and I look forward to helping the firm grow and develop in the region.”

Peter Donnelly, managing director of RSM Tenon’s Bolton office, added: “We are delighted that Steve has joined us to lead our tax advisory team. The firm has a strong track record in helping its clients create, protect and enhance wealth and Steve’s expertise will help secure our position as one of the leading tax advisers in the North West.”
