Boost for Heywood business park as kitchen firm signs up

Date published: 04 January 2010

Vision Commercial Kitchens has relocated its operation from Whitefield to new purpose built premises at Axis Point Business Park in Heywood.

Axis Point, located near junction 3 of the M66 and junction 19 of the M62, is a £5m 55,000 sq.ft. scheme being speculatively developed by Seddon Developments, providing high specification industrial, warehouse and business units on a choice of freehold or leasehold options.

Rochdale Development Agency helped Seddon Developments to facilitate the firm’s move to a new 9,500 sq ft unit.

The relocation follows Vision Commercial Kitchens’ successful growth and the need to expand into larger warehouse space and more offices to accommodate the company’s increasing infrastructure.

Craig Forrester, Managing Director at Vision Commercial Kitchens said: “We have seen considerable growth since launching the business and have outgrown our site in Whitefield. We saw an opportunity and decided to make the move to newer, larger and more spacious premises. The move is an exciting expansion for Vision and part of our ongoing strategy.”

Paul Nolan, Director of property agents Nolan Redshaw, said: “It is going well at Axis Point. Despite current market conditions we have recently exchanged contracts on four units, with another three currently going through legals, which is very positive for the local area. Rochdale Development Agency was instrumental in supporting the planning of the park and has been very helpful in progressing leads including Vision Commercial Kitchens.”
