International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine launch new website
Date published: 07 August 2017
RO Web Solutions, the web development side of Rochdale Online, has developed a new website for accreditation board, International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) for holistic therapists and training providers.
The practical content management system allows for administrators to manage the database of members (therapists or training providers), including information not displayed on the website, such as payment history, renewal dates, and electronic versions of member's certificates.
Ian Kimber, Technical Director, said: “Everything was being managed manually using a combination of a number of spreadsheets, sending of emails by hand, editing static pages on the website and re-entering application information submitted.”
Practitioners are now effortlessly found, thanks to the convenient search-bar function, which now has the option for people to search for therapists or training providers by typing the name of the training school or therapist directly into the search box. Practitioners can also be found by location or what therapies they offer.
A modern and responsive website utilising a variety of layouts, from grids with images to a ‘mosaic-style’ appearance, ensures that anyone visiting the site via tablets and smartphones, as well as desktop browsers, will enjoy a user-friendly experience. An embedded contact form allows anyone to easily and readily contact the Littleborough-based company.
Administrators are able to send out a selection of IPHM-branded and personalised HTML emails to individual members as required, plus an automated reminder system has been utilised for renewals.
New members can join IPHM through an enhanced and efficient application form which processes things as smoothly as possible.
Existing members can submit events/workshops for display on the site, which are reviewed and approved by admin, and can also access premium content when logging in with their membership number.
All members have the opportunity to display a logo or image next to their listing.
Mr Kimber added: “The new system ties everything together and should reduce the workload dramatically, as well as minimise errors.”
Trish Kershaw, who founded IPHM, said: “I am happy to say that Ian, who has been working tirelessly on my new updated website, is the reason why I chose RO Web Solutions.
“The professionalism and outstanding dedication and attention to detail has been amazing. I required a specialist to make this site so that it would work well for both consumer and admin and he has more than fulfilled and gone beyond my expectations.
“I was aware I required someone who understood my specific requirements and could build a site specific to these needs as this was not something I personally was capable of achieving on my own. He has certainly done this.
“He has also offered support and patience throughout the process and continues to offer superb support and aftercare service. As the site is new, he is more than happy to be there for any little niggles and problems and advice.”
