Internet Service Provider Zen Internet has donated a Christmas gift to Springhill Hospice in place of the usual Christmas Cards that Zen sends out to their partners every year.
The Zen Socials & Charities Committee decided upon this idea to add to the increased level of local charity work Zen has been involved in.
Caroline Taylor, Zen HR Manager and a member of the committee, suggested this change and explains; “Zen Internet is a Rochdale based company and any opportunity to help out a leading local charity such as Springhill Hospice is important to us. We have built up a good relationship with this charity and feel they deserve this Christmas gift.”
The Hospice was presented with a digital camera on the 12 December, which they can immediately put into use for promotions for the charity in the festive period. It will also have ongoing use for patients and their families’ as well as future fundraising events. This gift is especially welcomed by the hospice, as they rely on the generosity of the local community and businesses to get equipment and extra features such as this.
Julie Halliwell, Organisational Development Manager, Springhill Hospice, said: “We are delighted with the gift from Zen; they are always keen to help out the hospice and have provided us with beneficial services in the past that we otherwise couldn’t afford.”
