Noise and Confusion gig covered By Zen Internet

Date published: 13 December 2005

Zen Internet, local award winning ISP (Internet Service Provider), is working with Introspect IT Solutions Ltd to provide broadband access for the Noise and Confusion Music gig at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 10 December.

The organisers of the gig, SJM Concerts Ltd, will be able to maintain a working office environment even while at the concert! This is due to Introspect implementing a VPN (Virtual Private Network) service to allow them to communicate with their main office, including e-mail and file access. Zen will provide the essential Internet connection alongside this, as well as two other connections for artists to use.

Oasis will be headlining this major event, which sold out within hours, along with other acts including the Foo Fighters, Razorlight and The Coral. Due to the wireless network set up by Introspect, acts such as Oasis and the Foo Fighters will be able to take advantage of the Internet access and e-mail facilities provided by Zen whilst they are performing at the event.

Zen and Introspect have successfully worked together on major events before, including the provision of essential and reliable communication links at the V Festival last summer.

Mike Dixon, Technical Director at Manchester based Introspect IT solutions, a Gold ZenPartner explained, "We have chosen Zen to provide the Broadband solution because they have showed an excellent level of service and reliability in another major event, the V festival. It is important that we use a supplier that we know provides high quality connections."

Zen is able to meet the requirements for this event, as they will provide the high speed Office 2000 on a monthly contract system. This is a top of the range broadband service and has proved an essential service for event organisers in the past, who do not want to worry about their Internet access while overseeing a major event.

Iain Johnstone, Sales and Partner Programme Manager, Zen Internet, explained, “We have a successful record of working with Introspect on major events. Once again they have chosen Zen because of our reputation as a reliable provider with a short contract system. Zen is becoming established in provisioning for important events and we are pleased to be helping out at this major music festival.”
