New warehouses at Heywood Distribution Park
Date published: 13 April 2016
Over 200,000 square feet of warehouses have just been completed on Heywood Distribution Park.
The two new buildings, by Harbert Management, take the total warehouse and distribution space at the logistics hub to more than two million square feet.
Built by Russell Construction, the 145,000 sq ft and 67,000 sq ft properties have been constructed alongside facilities occupied by the likes of Wincanton, Aldi, Eddie Stobart, DFS, Aramex, Krispy Crème, DPD and Argos.
Harbert European Real Estate Fund III, the company behind the project, is also actively developing in Trafford Park having commenced construction of two warehouse and distribution buildings on Ashburton Road West.
Howard Hill of CBRE in Manchester, who is the asset manager for the Harbert European Real Estate Fund III estates in the North West, said: "These developments represent a significant investment and a huge vote of confidence in the North West region and place Harbert as the leading industrial developer in the Manchester area.
"We have strong interest from a number of major occupiers in the units across the portfolio."
