Looking for a career in childcare?

Date published: 14 June 2005

There has never been a better time to work with children!  High quality childcare and education makes a real difference to children’s lives.  Nationally, and within the Rochdale Borough and surrounding areas, there is a great demand for people to work with children and young people.

Working with children can be challenging and requires a range of skills and personal qualities. These include being caring, patient and having good communication skills, but also being able to play and have fun.

Rochdale Borough Children’s Services are inviting people interested in working with children, childcare training courses, or both, to come along to the:

Childcare Recruitment Information Event
Rochdale Town Hall
Saturday 18 June
10.00am – 3.30pm

  • There will be opportunities for people to talk to practitioners about their work and the career prospects that childcare can offer
  • Get up-to-date information on the range of training courses available
  • Receive information, advice and guidance on how to apply for jobs including help with CV’s and interview techniques
