Sitting here to write this pitch is a challenge. Its not in my nature to list the sins of my opposition or the party they represent. It only takes one finger to point to an issue. It doesn’t resolve the problem. All it can do is stoke up animosity. It really isn’t useful in my opinion. By nature, I am a fixer. Give me a problem I will try and find a solution.
We need new business in the town centre. There are grants available, rates relief is available. The potential is there. More than that though I want to start a business forum. Then we can get a business community that will help promote the town centre.
Some children perform better than others, lets look at why. Is your child having trouble interacting socially. As an FA qualified coach, I will advocate more funding for team sports. The effects have been seen in my own family. Do they have problems interacting in a class room? Let’s create some forest classrooms they have shown great results in other areas of the country.
This is the issue, I don’t want to slate my opposition. Nobody volunteers to be a councillor with the intention to perform badly. What I do want is to fix the problems. If an issue is raised at the township forum, I want there to be an answer. If someone contacts me I want an answer. What I will do is give us the town and home we deserve.
