Middleton Cricket Club v Kenyan National Cricket Team
The Kenyan National team will be playing three 20/20 and four one day friendly matches. as part of their tour hosted by BME Health Matters and Rochdale friends of East Africa.
“We have been working hard to have Kenya`s National Cricket team to play against local teams so that the community can enjoy watching true international players in their own back yard; we are all very excited.” said organiser Mr Khalid Abbas.
These matches are part of Kenya's official tour where they will be playing against Scotland`s National team. Cricket lovers should make a note in their diaries of the following fixtures which have all been confirmed. So please come along and enjoy the matches.

Friday 21 June - Heywood C.C. OL10 4JE, 11:30 am start.

Rochdale Bike Week - Rochdale CTC midweek ride
A leisurely ride from Rochdale Leisure Centre with the option to ride for an hour or longer. The mid-week ride is a sociable event at a comfortable pace. Rochdale CTC is proud to declare that they never leave riders behind on a club run.
For this ride there is the option to cycle for about an hour and for those that wish to continue for a longer trip.

St Chad's Churchwatch Session
Rochdale's magnificent Parish Church, located up the 122 steps behind the Town Hall, is the town’s oldest building, telling the story of 1,000 years of local history. With stonework dating back to the 14th century, splendid stained glass including William Morris’s ’Faith, Hope and Charity’ window, the 13th century font where Gracie Field’s was baptised in 1898, the 1786 grave of the dialect poet and political satirist Tim Bobbin, a wall reputed to date back to the pre-1066 and stocks for Rochdale’s 1600’s felons.
Guides will be on duty. No charge, but donations towards the upkeep of this splendid heritage building appreciated.
Churchwatch sessions will run every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday afternoon until 12 September 2013.

Lecture Programme - Feminists in the Early Co-operative Movement
Michael Herbert looks at women such as Frances Morrison Catherine Barmby and Margaret Chappelsmith, who wrote and lectured on the rights of women in the early Co-operative movement.
Michael is a Trustee of the Working Class Movement Library in Salford. His book “Up Then Brave Women” Manchester’s Radical Women 1819-1918 was published in October 2012.

An audience with Jimmy Cricket
Celebrity comic Jimmy Cricket, famed for his catchphrase 'And There's More' and of course his hilarious 'Letter's From Mammy' has enjoyed huge success on stage, TV and Radio and is still in huge demand at home and abroad.
This very special evening will be unique in many ways. Instead of taking a distant theatre seat, the setting will be far more intimate! Why? Because tickets are exclusively limited to just 40; therefore you will be guaranteed what would otherwise be better than front-row seats at a theatre!
