Sixth form news - This term the card making group have been working really hard to build up stock for our Enterprise sale. The group have been using a technique called decoupage, where you build up layers of the same image to make a 3d effect. Thank you to Tracey’s husband for donating a card stand to display the finished cards on.
Geoff and his DIY group have made a bracket so it can go on the wall for people to look through. The group are taking orders for personalised cards, so if you have any birthdays, weddings, anniversaries coming up, let us know a couple of weeks in advance and the card group can make it for you.
Robert, Andrew, Dayle, Dylan, Jack, Nicole, Mujtabaa, Roy, Jake and Thania have been to Manchester for a ride on the big wheel. The wonderful sensory experience was enjoyed by everyone as they cruised through the air and enjoyed the lovely scenery of Manchester. The students were quiet as the wheel started to go up, laughed at the top and smiled on the way down. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and the company was fabulous. What an experience!
The Personal Independence group - as part of social inclusion has been touching up their social skills by going for a swim at Oulder Hill swimming baths and interacting with other students. It was noted by an Oulder Hill staff member how well behaved our sixth formers always are and how they are always friendly and smiling.
Redwood closes for Easter on Friday 30 March and reopens on Monday 16 April – have a nice break!
