Rain doesn't stop work at Norden's Cricketforce weekend
Date published: 30 March 2015
Despite Norden Cricket Club's Cricketforce weekend being hit by very heavy rain - it was even too wet for club mascot Stanley the Stag to come down from the hills - the volunteers who turned up got through a lot of work both inside and outside of the clubhouse.
The work force was boosted for one of the three days by students from Hopwood Hall College, led by lecturer Rob Wilson.
Club professional Daniel Salpietro is currently in Australia, but he was 'represented' at the weekend by his dog Pasha who went along to keep a watchful eye on a working group whose ages ranged from seven to 60 plus.
Norden Cricket Club chairman John Murphy said: "I would like to thank all who came to help during the weekend. It was a valiant effort in shocking weather."
