Dale Trust 5 a Side Tournament

Talbot Head 'A' emerged as winners of the Rochdale Football in the Community five-a-side tournament on Sunday 17 November.

Sixteen teams competed and after league matches and quarter finals the last four teams left in the competition were Talbot Head A, Sporting Lisbon, Talbot Head B and Colo.

Sporting Lisbon and Talbot Head A emerged as worthy winners of their respective semi finals, winning 5-1 and 4-3 respectively, which pitted these two well-matched teams in an enthralling final which Talbot edged by the odd goal in seven.

Trophies and medals were presented to Talbot Head “A” as winners and Sporting Lisbon as runners up. An added bonus for both teams was an invitation to watch the Dale game versus Exeter City from one of the hospitality boxes courtesy of Rochdale AFC.

The fund raiser was organised as part of activities by Dale’s Community Trust on behalf of Dale Supporter’s Trust.

A donation of £150 is to be made to the Brandon’s Beard Appeal by Soccer Factory.
