Shawclough FC Under 10s Thunder extended their run to 12 months unbeaten in league and cup games with a 3 – 5 win away against Soccer Technix.

The team plays in the Heywood Sports Village Mini Soccer League and are the current champions.

Manager Eugene Warrener paid tribute to the diversity of his team and to new sponsors, Ruchi of Rochdale.

Mr Warrener said: "It’s with the help of local businesses like Ruchi that we are able to bring together children from diverse faiths, beliefs, cultures and backgrounds and we are very grateful. We will try to repay their generosity with some sterling team performances over the coming season."
