North Wales Crusaders 48-0 Rochdale Hornets
Date published: 30 June 2013
Hornets took a beating at North Wales Crusaders as they lost for the second game in a row following a five match winning run that had seen them climb to second in the table.
Welsh international Rob Massam did the major damage to Hornets with his five tries.
Crusaders opened the scoring through a Dallimore break and added two more tries, from Toby Adamson and Rob Massam, to give them a 16-0 advantage at half time.
Hornets needed to sharpen up on ball security in the second half, but within four minutes of the restart Owain Brown palmed the ball off to Andy Moulsdale for North Wales’ fourth of the afternoon.
The floodgates opened and the Welsh side punished Hornets heavily with Bannister going over the line, followed by Massam adding four more to his first half try.
A club spokesman apologised for a "lifeless display" saying "ruthless North Wales put us to the sword."
