Mayfield Review

Date published: 13 June 2013

After a poor run of results Mayfield look to turn the tide when Oldham rivals Waterhead visit the Mayfield Sports Centre.

Two defeats have seen the Rochdale club slip into the bottom half of the table, far below the expectations of the coaches Matt Calland and Sam Butterworth.

Sam Butterworth said: "We will look to turning our season round, we all know that we are better than our league position shows but our results have let us down.

"We have been a bit Jekyll and Hyde in games brilliant one minute terrible the next, we need to show consistency and start winning games. Hopefully that will start on Saturday.

"On the positive side we have Mark Biggins and Lee Atkinson back in training and both will be in contention for a place today.

In the sponsors box with Ace Electrical are Yearsleys, and due to having no game this week the second team are in the ‘back box’.
