African lions are coming

The Kenyan national team is due to arrive on June 17th 2013 they will be playing three 20/20 and four one day friendly matches. The games will be played against local Cricket Clubs in Rochdale, Oldham and Bolton. 

“We have been working hard to have Kenya's national cricket team to play against local teams so that the community can enjoy watching international players in their own back yard; we are all very excited,” said the organiser Khalid Abbas. 

These matches are part of Kenya's official tour where they will be playing against Scotland's national team.

Cricket lovers should make a note in their diaries of the following fixtures which have all been confirmed:

One Day Matches

  • Wednesday 19 June - Middleton C.C. M24 2GN, 11:00am start. 
  • Thursday 20 June - Thornham C.C. M24 2UD. 
  • Friday 21 June - Heywood C.C. OL10 4JE, 11:30 am start. 
  • Sunday 23 June - Littleborough Lakeside C.C. 11:00 am start. 
Twenty/ Twenty Matches

  • Monday 24 June - Littleborough C.C. OL15 9LD, 5:30pm start. 
  • Tuesday 25 June - Werneth C.C. OL8 1AA, 5:30pm start. 
  • Wednesday 26 June - Little Lever C.C. BL3 1JB, 5:30pm start.

Please note all 20/20 matches will be played against Pro-Elite International select players.
