Dale land Vincenti

Manager Keith Hill’s preparations for next season continue with the confirmation that he has secured the services of Peter Vincenti for the 2013/14 campaign.

The 26-year-old, who can operate in a number of positions, has agreed to join Rochdale once his contract at Aldershot Town expires at the end of June. He will pen two-year-deal on July 1.

Vincenti moves to Spotland from the Shots where he has been playing since January 2011. He featured for the Hampshire club against Rochdale last season, netting for his side in Dale’s 4-2 defeat at the Recreation Ground in December.

"I’m excited by this one," Hill told Dale’s official website: “As soon as I knew that Peter was interested in coming to Rochdale I jumped on it. He will fit comfortably in our environment, there’s a great potential from the player and he’s 100% committed. He’s a good technician but he can take the length of the pitch out of the opposition with his running skills.

"He’s looking forward to the prospect of working for me and the club and he wants to be successful. It was a very easy decision for me to recruit him."
