Hornets preview

Date published: 04 May 2013

Hornets will look to bounce back this weekend against fellow title contenders North Wales Crusaders, but must do so without up to ten first teamers.

Alex Trumper sustained a serious injury in the defeat to South Wales, with damage to his knee and what could be a tibial spinal fracture. He awaits a scan but fears are that his season could be over.

Davies and Llewellyn suffered knocks (knee and thumb respectively) in the same game, with Davies ruled out for the weekend and Llewellyn rated as 50/50.

Jordan Case continues to struggle with a tight hamstring but it is hoped acupuncture and further assessment at training tonight will see him set to return.

Frodsham is definitely ruled out, however, as he struggles with a hamstring problem

Thompson and Lloyd have struggled this week with illness, although Lloyd will feature this evening for the u20s at Keighley.

Sutton, Ratu and Donoghue are still unavailable (shoulder, ankle, knee) but are expected back in two to three weeks.

Due to a late cancellation, there are limited places left on the pre match "Peritos N 'Press" dining event.

The dinner starts at 1/1.30 and includes a two course meal, main match ticket and a bottle of Kingston Press in the main lounge, all for £20.

Barry Clarke and Will Chadwick have both left the club to increasing commitments outside of the game. Barry Clarke has left to join the forces.
