Date published: 17 April 2013

Rochdale Cobras under 15s were beaten by Liverpool Lions at Firgrove on Sunday.

Cobras gained possession from the kick off and made great yards, this gave James Mcdaid the opportunity to take on the Liverpool defence, he danced his way round them, put a little chip over, ran through caught the ball and scored a great individual try.

Liverpool  used their big forwards to good effect penetrating the Cobras' defence, and scoring to even the game up.

Reece Simpson's persistent work brought him just rewards as he put Cobras back in front with a brilliant try.

Liverpool scored again to even it up and then scored again to take the lead for the first time.

The start of the second half saw Cobras Reece Simson get his second to even the score again.

James Mcdaid got his second try to put Liverpool back in front but the score was soon level again as Kurt Mcwirter made a powerful drive for Cobras to get a try.

A tight game changed when Liverpool began to score at will and went on to win the game 38 - 24.

Man of the match went to Harry Mcdonald and the coach award went to James Mcdaid.
