The Presidents of Milnrow (Ladybarn) Bowling Club, Ken and Joan Davies, officially opened the Harbour Lane green last Saturday during a flurry of snowflakes.
On a day more suited to skiing or snowballing the first woods of the Season were duly delivered through the snow to the amusement of fellow Club Members. As remarked with some feeling “Here’s to better weather during the Summer!”
The Club which this year celebrates its 103rd year in Milnrow extends a warm invitation to new members to join, whether regular bowlers or someone wishing to learn the game of bowls.
