Mayfield review

Date published: 14 March 2013

With a bye in Saturday's tier three cup, Mayfield NCL are without a game.

After last week's win over Millom, Mayfield would have preferred to be on the field again looking to gain another victory and gather some momentum in their bid for promotion this season.

The NWML side face Hindley at the Mayfield Sports Centre.

With a dramatic last minute win under their belt away at Burtonwood last week, Derek Buckley's team is full of confidence and can’t wait for Saturday's game.

Numbers have improved at training and a couple of players have returned to the club so Buckley has a good squad to select from. Players like Danny Chrimes, the Percy twins and Paul Hancock are all quality players with plenty of experience and they are not on their own, Craig White as captain, although now in the twilight of his career, is steering his side on the pitch and leading by example at training.

Buckley has been bolstered by the addition of Anthony Greaves to the coaching team and is pleased with the way the season is going so far.

Saturday's team will be named at the club, all players meet at club as per pre match text.

Fixtures, 16.03.13.
NWML div3 Mayfield v Hindley, ko 2.30
