Jammy Dodgers triumph in nail biter

Date published: 18 February 2013

The final week of the Hornets Community Indoor Bowls League proved a massive success, as the 6 team league was wrapped up with a nail biter.

The Jammy Dodgers had two fixtures to play last week in the catch up week, knowing that a first game win against St Pauls would see them crowned champions before there game against second placed Thistleyfield.

St Pauls, however, had other ideas and showed how similar the standard is in the league by despatching the boys from Bacup!

The Jammy Dodgers rallied and upped their game to see off Thistelyfield in the winner takes all game.

There is a break this week before the Mecca Bingo Open on Tuesday 26 Febraury.
