Game On!

Super League referee Ian Smith inspected the pitch on Monday and at that time the pitch was playable.

Groundsman James Blackburn and Drew Duffy have set about clearing the pitch of 7 inch of snow, so the covers can be removed, lines marked and posts erected on Friday.

We Need Your Help!

Volunteers from Rochdale Mayfield, St Helens, AAA Pest Control and S. Greenwood plant hire have all answered the rallying call, along with our fans and members to help clear the pitch and surrounds of snow in time.

Tomorrow we have promises from various community groups and organisations but it is a mammoth task- please come and spare an hour or two where you can!

We will be at the club from 9am until the pitch is cleared, which is expected to be approx 9.30pm.

We are more than hopeful the game will be on, but We Need Your Help!

Volunteers

As always, the club is looking for any members who are available to give any of there time to support the club in its various functions.

Administration tasks, match day set up, Golden Gamble Seller, Programme Sellers and lottery collectors are always needed as we look to grow the club.

Rewards are offered on a varying scale and no matter how little time you have to give, it would be greatly appreciated by your club!

Please get in touch!

2013 Partner Charities

Rochdale Hornets are pleased to announce that they will work in partnership with two charities this year.

Springhill Hospice, who the club has supported officially for a couple of year, are again a main partner and will take pride of place on the home shorts.

We will also work in partnership with the hospice on fundraising events to benefit both Hornets and the Hospice.

On the away shorts will be the Steve Prescott Foundation.

Steve is quite well known in traditional rugby circles and his battle with a rare form of cancer has been well publicised, as has is fundraising.

We hope to support Steve, who is now our assistant coach, to continue this fundraising and proudly displaying his logo on the shorts and warm up t shirts when we travel to new, non traditional rugby league places such as Oxford, Gloucester and Hemel will allow us to do that.

Sponsorship

As the season fast approaches, now is the time to sponsor your favourite player!
Or why not sponsor a match ball?
Got a Birthday- treat someone to a match day hospitality package!

If you recommend an individual, business or group to us and they take a sponsorship deal, we will either pay you 10% commission or knock it off there bill! Simples!
Please get in touch for more information.

Under 20s

Planning for the under 20s is well under way, with training confirmed for Monday evenings.

Matt Calland has added a raft of talented local players and has also confirmed ex Hornet Sam Butterworth as his assistant.

With no additional financial support from the RFL, the club is looking at ways of financing a team that will make up the future of this club.
