Hornets Sponsors Event Last Thursday Night saw the Rochdale Hornets Sponsors Networking Event.

The evening attracted several new companies who have never been involved with the club before, including major national brands such as Mecca Bingo and Frankie & Bennys Restaurant.

The attendees heard about the clubs plans going forward, the sponsorship opportunites available and the community work the club undertakes.

Those who attended all spoke very highly of the clubs presentation and ambition.
Several businesses signed up on the night to various sponsorship packages with meetings also penciled in to discussed various partnership possiblities and links.

The delegates all enjoyed a tasty buffet prepared by Ena Myers assisted by Wendy Hamer. The cost of the buffet was covered thanks to the kind sponsorship of David Vining.

The club would also like to thank Martin Ballard of the our main sponsors, The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre. Martin produced a superb Dr. Who themed short video to highlight the benefits the Wheatsheaf Centre has enjoyed by being partnered with Rochdale Hornets.

Season Ticket News
Members will be aware it is our aim to always make season tickets the best value they can be.

With the late withdrawl of Northampton from the 2013 Championship 1 campaign and Coventry being deemed not ready to enter the competition it has left us with just a 9 team competition.

So when the fixtures have been released it has only given us 10 guarenteed home fixtures (2 Northern Rail + 8 League).

We are looking at getting extra cup games included in the season ticket to ensure they represent the best value possible. As ever we will keep members and season ticket holders informed.

Get well soon Brian. The popular Hornets stalwart Brian Belfield has recently been take ill, and the club and its supporters would like to all say Get Well Soon Brian.

Brian helps run the Buzzline Lottery which is the lifeblood of the club. Brian also does loads of other jobs around the club including helping to run the popular Indoor Bowling League.

We are sure everyone involved at the club wishes Brian a speedy recovery.

Heritage Project Hornets are currently putting together a bid for a major heritage project to cover the history of the club, our links with Fiji and schools & local community Rugby League.

The club would like to get as many supporters involved as possible.
Do you have any interesting stories about Hornets, or old photographs.

Have you any old playing shirts or memorabilia?
Any pre-war programmes?
Medals, caps etc?
We would like as much input as possible from Hornets fans.
What would you like to see in the exhibition and/or book?

Your assistance is vital in making the project a success.

If you would like to be involved, please contact the club on 01706 648004 or email ryan.bradley@rfl.uk.com
