Rochdale and District Awards makes a welcome return

Date published: 19 November 2012

The nominations have been rolling in over the last week as the Rochdale and District Awards makes a welcome return.

The last event saw over 100 people attend to recognise the hard work put in by coaches, volunteers, committee members and players over the 2011/12 season.

With the change in seasons, it has been almost 18 months since the last awards ‘do’ so the Rochdale and District ARL committee are hoping for a good event this time around.

This years event also has an interesting twist, as the Player of the Year award and Young Player of the Year award will partially decided by a public vote! Anyone interested in voting can do so via the following link ( http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7TTQ2YC ), with the vote counting towards 50% of the final decision.

The afternoon will also feature the launch of the 2013 Riley and Charity Cup fixtures and will also include a presentation on the plans for the Town Team going forward- therefore anyone interested in the game of rugby league across Bolton, Bury and Rochdale is welcome to attend.

This years event will be held at the Flying Horse Hotel on Sunday 25 November, 2pm-3.30pm. Tickets cost £5 on the door or £3 guest list (speak to your club committee) which includes pie and peas dinner.

The nominations to date are listed below, with the final nominations deadline of Wednesday 21 November. A special Achievement award will also be presented. To nominate for any of the categories, please email ryan.bradley@rfl.uk.com
