Mayfield review

Date published: 28 September 2012

Mayfield have just one game this week as the Alliance side entertain league leaders Halton from Widnes.

Halton are the form team in the division having only lost one game while Mayfield have struggled to hit their best.

Coach Derek Buckley will be hoping his side are ready for this one, he said: “we have a good squad who can all play rugby there is no reason we shouldn’t be competing in this division, so today I am hoping we can right some wrongs and start playing like I know we are capable of.

"We’ve lost a couple of players to university this week but we have lads waiting to step in, so we can’t wait for kick off to put our preparation into action. With players in the team like Andy Lee, Paul Hancock and Sean Hill we feel we should be able to give anyone a game on the day.
