Mayfield under 14s had plenty to celebrate this week without the team playing a game.
Two lads played for Lancashire at Sheffield in a national tournament on Sunday.
Brad Turner and Cameron Connolly played with Zac baker and Lewis Butterworth selected for the squad but unable to play due to injury.
The two that did play where outstanding with Lancashire going through the full day unbeaten and, without conceding a point against them, beating Yorkshire, Cumbria, London and the north east regions with Cameron Connolly captaining the team and scoring against Cumbria.
It was double celebrations as the four lads have been selected for the scholarship schemes at super league clubs.
Zak Baker, Jack Mcconachie and Jordan Seller have been selected to go to Salford City Reds and Cameron Connolly as been selected to go to Wigan Warriors and with scouts still watching Mayfield hope a few more will be selected before the end of the season.
