Mayfield star in House of Pain

Date published: 26 July 2012

Mayfield Rugby League star John Foy swapped the rugby ball for a microphone this week as he took to the airwaves.

John got involved in Manchester radio station Key 103’s new House of Pain feature alongside drivetime DJ OJ Borg. The idea is to settle old scores, with John facing Mayfield’s Oldham rival St. Anne's representative, Australian Jordan Hanley, in a fitness challenge.

The pair were put through their paces live on air by fitness instructor Louis Mayers, competing in the painful challenge in which John’s stamina came to the fore; leading him to come out on top.

Mayfield will be hoping for the same result on Friday 4 August, when they face St Anne's in the Hatton's National Conference League clash at Mayfield Sports Centre in Castleton, which kicks off at 7.30pm.
