Rochdale Sixth Form College’s inaugural football team have got off to a flying start this season, scoring an impressive 31 goals, taking second place in a league competing against nine other colleges from the region.
Narrowly missing out on the top spot by just one point, the runners up had an impressive season, winning eight out of 10 matches, only losing out to a specialist football academy.
Jamie Harrison, PE Teacher at Rochdale Sixth Form College comments: “We had a great season, and I’m really proud with the performance of each and every member of the team. The squad worked well together, had excellent defensive duties, not to mention a strong work ethic and team spirit. Their hard work has certainly paid off – and next year, we’ll be training even harder to ensure we come top of the league.”
