Twenty 20 Cricket Challenge - this Sunday!

This Sunday (8 July) sees the Hornets Players take on a group of Hornets Supporters in a Twenty20 Cricket Challenge.

The event is taking place at Milnrow Cricket Club (postcode OL16 4HF), and events on the day are taking place from 12:00pm, with the main match scheduled to begin at 2:00pm.

Events include an opening training session at 12noon and an under 7’s Rugby League exhibition during the tea break.

We welcome J.W. Lees who are the Match Sponsor; and Alliance Maintenance Services who are the Match Ball Sponsor.

Entry for the full day is only £2 per person, and FREE for those under 16 years old.

We’ve got our fingers crossed for some good weather, and look forward to seeing you there on Sunday! There will be some indoor events if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

Carnegie Challenge Cup Final Trip

With seven weeks to go before the trip, places on the coach are filling up quickly. The trip’s cost of £49 per person includes return coach travel, entry to the match and a breakfast stop on the trip south. If you would like to book a place on the trip, please contact the office on 01706 648004 or reply to this email, subject Wembley Trip.

Ball Boys Wanted Rochdale Hornets are on the look-out for Ball Boys to help out at our remaining home fixtures this season. As a Ball Boy, you get a pitch-side view of the action, as well as performing a vital role of getting the ball back on to the pitch so play can carry on. All Ball Boys gain free entry to the match, plus two of their parents/guardians gain discounted entry to every fixture they attend. If you know of someone who would like to be a Ball Boy, please reply to this email or call the office on 01706 648004.

Work Experience
This week in the office, we have been joined by Matthew Rigby, who is here on a work experience placement from Hollingworth Business and Enterprise College. Matthew has been helping Aidy with coaching in the community, and has been working on some features for both the official website and the official Hornets’ match day programme. We would like to thank Matthew for all his hard work during his time here at Hornets.
