Mayfield Mustangs under 7s march on

Date published: 29 June 2012

Rochdale Mayfield Mustangs under 7s traveled to Golbourne in the heart of Rugby League country, and showed great skills and determination, with straight running, good footwork and tough tackling.

Tries came from Harvey Hall who showed scoring pace, Taylor Hartley who was unstoppable with his barging runs.

Jamie Howe scored his first try in a competitive match by stepping though the centre of the Golbourne defense and scooting to the line with pace for a fine try to the delight of his team mates and supporters.

The try scorers were ably supported by Kyle Durrand, Vinny Wainwright, top tackler Issac Ried, Ben Wilkinson and Sonny Joyce drew the loudest cheer from the crowd with a fine break and run down to the touchline.

Mayfield enter the summer break after next week but with trips to a number of festivals planned and the continuing training on Saturday mornings at 11.00am, they are all looking forward to future games.
