Kids for a Quid
This Sunday (3rd June), at the home match against Workington Town, Rochdale Hornets are once again offering our “Kids for a Quid” offer. All supporters under the age of 16, accompanied by a full paying adult, will be able to watch the match for only £1.00! With it being half term week and bank holiday weekend, we hope to see lots of young faces at the match, supporting the players in their quest for promotion.

Match Sponsors and Guests
This Sunday, we welcome our good friends and the club’s stationary supplier, Kleenstrike UK Ltd as the Match Sponsor. We hope Laura and all her guests have an enjoyable afternoon, and we look forward to introducing English Rugby League to Laura’s father who is visiting from across the Pond!

Also on Sunday, the French team Sporting Olympique Avignon XIII will be spending the afternoon with us. They are in England to take part in the Anglo-French tournament, where they will be playing Leigh on Saturday afternoon, and they have opted to spend their Sunday afternoon with us here at Hornets. We hope our visitors have an enjoyable afternoon, and witness a good game.

The J.W. LEES Twenty20 Cricket Challenge
On Sunday 8 July 2012, a Hornets’ Players team will take on a team of Hornets’ Supporters in a game of Twenty20 cricket. The event starts at 2:00pm and takes place at Milnrow Cricket Club, which is off Harbour Lane.

J.W. Lees will be sponsoring the match, with Alliance Maintenance Services as the match ball sponsor. We hope to see you down there for what promises to be a fun-filled but competitive afternoon!

Office Opening Hours
Please note that the office will be closed on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 June due to the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holidays. The office will reopen at 9:00am on Wednesday 6 June, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Swarm Festival - THIS SATURDAY!
The Rochdale International Tag Festival is now seeking teams for entry into the 4th Annual Tournament!

This year’s festival will take place at Firgrove, the home of Rochdale Swarm and Rochdale Cobras, on Saturday 2 June, and is open to teams of males and females aged 14+.

Tag Rugby League is a non-contact version of the sport which uses Velcro tags rather than tackling. The game is 7 a side, and teams should have 2 females on the pitch at all times (tries by females count double!)

Last year, 27 teams from all corners of the UK, France as well as Antipodean exile teams took part in the festival which caters for competitive, social and beginner teams alike!

The cost this year is just £5 per person, which includes festival entry, post festival food and access to the now infamous post-festival party, being held this year in the Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale.

For more information or to enter a team, please contact mark.wynn@talk21.com or 07970 079 863.
