Bamford Fieldhouse through to third round of LCB Cup

Leaders of the Saddleworth & District Cricket league, Bamford Fieldhouse put out Heywood of the Central Lancashire Cricket League in the second round of the Lancashire Cricket Board KO Cup.

No surprise as Fieldhouse have a team of big names, including ex-England players Chris Schofield and Warren Hegg, former West Indian Test bowler Marlon Black, ex-Lancashire player Paddy McKeown, former league professionals Melbourne Austin, Martin Smith and J P Lee, plus the current named professional Grant Hodnett, of South Africa.

Heywood batted first and put 176 on the scoreborad in their alloted overs.

Bamford reached the target with relative ease.
