Predict which Lancs players will score fastest centuries

Date published: 11 May 2012

Lancashire Cricket Club fans are being invited to predict which Red Rose players will score the fastest centuries this season.

Speedy Services is asking supporters to replace their county caps for thinking caps and tip who will hit the speediest scores in all three formats of the game this year.

Anyone correctly guessing the scorer of the quickest hundred in all LV= County Championship and Clydesdale Bank 40 games – along with fastest 50 in Friends Life t20 fixtures - will win a signed Lancashire cricket shirt and tickets to a game of their choice next year.

Anyone successfully predicting the speediest scorer in just one or two of the three formats will also be rewarded with tickets to a future fixture at Old Trafford.

Lancashire coach Peter Moores has already made his predictions with Speedy, opting for Steven Croft, Tom Smith and Stephen Moore in the championship, 40 over and 20 over competitions respectively.

Opening batsman Stephen Moore chose Paul Horton, Croft and Smith, while Smith himself chose Stephen Moore for both limited over fixtures and Croft for the four day games.

Speedy’s marketing director Steve McIntyre said: “We are thrilled with our sponsorship agreement with Lancashire County Cricket Club and we now want to leverage our partnership in the most memorable style possible.

“We hope that our prediction competition will hit the target with fans, and we continue to engage with them over the course of the season.”
