Mayfield under 7s welcomed Milnrow to the Mayfield Sports Centre in Castleton and the future of Rugby League looked promising for Rochdale as both teams showed skill and enthusiasm in abundance.

Mayfield were resplendent in their new kit, sponsored by Leedale Painters and Decorators, Mayfield Masters and Hornets Ex-player Association.

The sizeable crowd saw Mayfield score through tries by Bradley Schofield, Harvey Hall and Ben Metcalf, whilst George and Matthew Hough excelled for Milnrow.

All the boys and girls playing enjoyed the game.

Mayfield look forward to their next fixture at Folly Lane and training at the club on Saturday 11am until 12 noon. All reception, year 1, 2 and 3 boys and girls are welcome.

At the other end of the 'experience' scale, Mayfield Masters (over 35s) took a trip to Blackpool for the Masters Festival at Stanley Park.
