Wardleworth Community football and TJ Refridgeration
Wardleworth Sports Association has setup coaching for kids in the heart of the community. Az Khan and fellow colleagues have taken it upon themselves to help youngsters better there football skills and talents. The sessions are taking place at Heybrook Primary School and the response has been excellent.
Az Khan has learnt his trade at Rochdale AFC and has gained valuable coaching badges in developing football in the community. His knowledge and experience has enabled him to encourage, motivate, discipline, teach and have fun whilst playing football along with making new friends.
The sessions are real fun and energetic and aimed at kids at all levels of football. Az Khanexplains “the sessions are well over due in Warldeworth and I have always wanted to carryout football coaching in the locality. It gives the kids something to look forward to and the response from all has been so positive. We have loads of kids taking part, that I am looking to try to get a youth team to play in a junior leagues. This is only possible with the help of parents and volunteers, and I would love to see more people helping us out at the sessions. With their help we can achieve so much more”.
This setup would not have been possible with out the generosity of local business TJ Refrigeration. Az Khan explains “ TJs have always helped out in the community and they have open heartedly helped me setup the sessions by funding to help buy equipment. Without their help I would have been waiting months for funding applications to come through and with the current climate I could have been waiting even longer. So a massive Thank you to Faraz Hussain at TJ Refrigeration”.
A thank you to all supporting this community initiative especially Planet Mercy who are helping out on the day.
If you would like your child, girl or boy to take part then come along to Heybrook playing fields every Saturdays, kids at primary school sessions are at 10:30-12pm, and high school kids from 12:15-1:30pm or contact Az Khan on 07590 596085 for further details.
