The Dale Supporters Trust major event of the year was a 'Chinese Night' at China City with guest of honour Gary Jones in his testimonial year at Dale.

The supporters in the packed restaurant saw Dale Trust Chairman Dave Gartside present Gary Jones with a boxed set of crystal glasses.

Mr Gartside said: "Gary Jones has been a superb player for Dale and I am really pleased the supporters have got behind him for this testimonial event."

Gary Jones said he'd had a "great time" and added: "The Trust has done a fantastic job, not just for me but also behind the scenes at the football club."

After a sumptuous 4-course banquet guests were entertained by after dinner speaker, former Burnley, Huddersfield and Wolves winger Steve Kindon, and compere, Rochdale-born former radio commentator Malcolm Lord.

Club staff member Jack Northover was also presented with a token of appreciation by The Trust for his 10 years service to Dale.
