Busy Easter in store for Mayfield

Date published: 04 April 2012

A busy Easter is in store for the players at Rochdale Mayfield as they face three games over the weekend.

The National Conference Team take the short trip to Oldham to face traditional rivals St Anne’s away on Friday (12 noon kick off) in a Hattons Solicitors Division 1 clash.

Mayfield got their league points tally off the mark last weekend with an improved performance in the win over Millom.

St Anne’s are still looking for that first win, but they will still be smarting from the defeat Mayfield inflicted on them a few weeks ago in the Oldham Standard Cup semi final.

The Cup final itself is up on Easter Monday, again in Oldham at Keb Lane, Bardsley (11.00am kick off), with the opponents being Premier Division Saddleworth.

Open age coaches Matt Calland, Sam Butterworth and Leon Ashworth will select a team from those available following the Alliance team clash with Westhoughton on Saturday at Mayfield, kick off 2.30pm.
