Clubs join together to give season ticket holders “exclusive opportunity”

Rochdale AFC, Oldham AFC and Bury FC have joined forces to offer their season ticket holders an exclusive opportunity to watch up to 5 extra matches at each of the clubs per season for only £5 per match.

The ‘Greater Manchester Football’ initiative involves offering season ticket holders of all three clubs the chance to attend matches at Boundary Park, Gigg Lane, and Spotland for just £5 should they not be able to attend their own clubs away matches.

Colin Garlick, Chief Executive of Rochdale Football Club, said: "Season ticket holders are the life blood of all football clubs and we recognise and appreciate their loyal support.

“We believe that we already offer our season ticket holders exceptional value on the price of attending matches and we also try to bring added value to the season holders benefits, which we do through our Special Promotional Period and the various vouchers that we include in the back of our season ticket books.

“Now, by joining up with our neighbouring clubs at Oldham and Bury we are bringing even more value to our season ticket holders and we are delighted to be a part of this regional initiative.”

Oldham's commercial representatives, Jenny Warburton and David Broadbent, applaud the initiative: "This offer gives season ticket holders the chance to watch more league football. If your team is playing away and you can't travel to the game, you can still watch a match without travelling too far or paying full price. We're delighted to be able to give something extra to our season ticket holders; they are the heart and soul of any club and in conjunction with Bury and Rochdale we can all offer them cut price football to add value to a season ticket in these difficult times."

Brian Fenton, Bury Chairman, added: "We are constantly looking at ways that we can add more value for our loyal supporters that purchase a season ticket from us. We are also really pleased, that along with both Oldham and Rochdale, we can possibly use this idea as a foundation for future initiatives that can be of benefit to not only our supporters, but fans of the participating clubs generally."

This unprecedented offer gives fans of all 3 clubs the chance to attend a game on a Saturday without the stress of worrying about the result. Fans can keep up to date with what's going on in the league, spot new talent and enjoy a day out with a game of football.

Each participating club will be releasing details of how they will be running the incentive, and the 5 chosen matches, after Monday 18 June when the fixtures have been published by the football league.
