Rochdale Premier Indoor Cricket League round up

DLCC inflicted another defeat to Rochdalians this week. With this defeat they are moved to second place now. Good wins for Unique, Max XI and Peshawar Panthers. This week Peshawar Panthers are leading the league table with 20 points and Rochdalians are on second place with 18 points. King Lions and DLCC are on third place with 16 points each.

The first two matches of the league were between Unique and DGS in Hall 1 and DLCC vs Rochdalians Hall 2. Unique won the toss and batted first. They made 130 runs in their 8 overs. Excellent batting from Munawar 32 runs (not out) and Asif 30 runs (not out). Poor response from DGS as they were all out on 48 runs and lost the match by 82 runs. Good effort from Zia scoring 12 runs and Sarfraz taking 2 wickets for 16 runs. Good bowling from Asif taking 1 wicket for 8 runs and Munawar 1 wicket for 15 runs.

In the other match Rochdalians batted first and scored 100 runs in their 8 overs. Excellent batting from Mohammed Asif 31 runs (not out) and Hamied 19 runs. Good response from DLCC winning the match by 4 wickets. Excellent batting from Mohammed Siddique 32 runs (not out) and Irfan 25 runs. Good bowling from Mohamed Tayyab taking 2 wickets for 19 runs and Kamran taking 1 wicket for 9 runs.

The next two matches were between 8 Lions and Max XI and King Lions vs Peshawar Panthers. 8 Lions won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 98 runs in their 8 overs. Good batting from Habib 32 runs (not out) and Saleem 12 runs. Good response from Max XI and won the match by 7 wickets. Good batting from Chand 32 runs (not out) and Rauf 15 runs (not out).

The next match was between King Lions and Peshawar Panthers. King Lions batted first and scored 106 runs. Good batting from Sohail 17 runs and Amjad 14 runs. Good bowling from Shakir taking 2 wickets for 17 runs and Saif taking 2 wickets for 28 runs of Peshawar Panthers. Good response from Peshawar Panther and won the match by 3 wickets. Good batting from Shakir 32 runs (not out) and Khan 19 runs.
