Rochdale Premier Indoor Cricket League round up

This week the first two matches of the league were between Bury Panthers and Peshawar Panthers in Hall 1 and Rochdalians vs Max XI in Hall 2. Bury Panthers batted first and scored 99 runs off 8 overs. Good batting from Waseem Ahmed 31 runs (not out) and Mohamed Hanif 24 runs. Peshawar Panthers won the match by 3 wickets. Good batting from Saif Khan 23 runs and Mohamed Saqib 22 runs. Excellent bowling from Khan taking 4 wickets for 11 runs and Mohamed Zahid taking 1 wicket for 16 runs.
In the other match Rochdalians batted first and scored 85 runs. Good batting from Mohamed Hamid 18 runs. In response Max XI won the match by 2 wickets. A very close contested match. Excellent batting from Mohammed Adeel 57 runs (not out). Good bowling from Dastaghir Khan taking 2 wickets for 13 runs.

The next two matches were between DLCC and 8 Lions and DGS vs Unique. DLCC batted first and scored 94 runs. Good contribution from Mohamed Iqbal 18 runs and Mohamed Tayab 14 runs. In response 8 Lions won the match by 3 wickets. Good batting effort from Mohamed Habib 27 runs and Javeed Jeeda 18 runs. Good bowling performance from Mohammed Saleem taking 4 wickets for 11 runs and Mohamed Hafeez taking 2 wickets for 15 runs.

In the second match DGS batted first and scored 101 runs. Excellent batting from Mohamed Sarfraz 31 runs (not out) and Zeeshan Ali 15 runs. In response Unique won the match by 5 wickets. Good batting effort from Asif Saeed 31 runs (not out) and Mohamed Muazam 29 runs. Excellent bowling from Ali Shah Taking 5 wickets for 13 runs.

A bye and 2 points awarded to King Lions this week as 8 Worriers pulled out of the league.

Again it was a very entertaining day for the spectators and the teams. All the matches were played in good sprit. Big thank from Abdul Quyyom, Tayyab and M Siddique (Organisers). They also appreciated all the help given by volunteers and in particular, Mohamed Sarfraz and Mohamed Saqib helping with scoring duties.
