Rochdale Premier Indoor Cricket League round up

This week the first two matches of the league were between 8 Lions and Max XI in Hall 1 and King Lions vs Bury Panthers in Hall 2. An easy win for Max XI this week, batting first they scored 120 runs off 8 overs. Good batting from Dastighir Khan 31 runs (not out) and Saeed Ahmed 12 runs. In response 8 Lions made 73 runs. Good batting from Javid Wiqi 11 runs (not out) and Mohamed Saleem 12 runs. An excellent bowling from Dastighir Khan taking 2 wickets for 12 runs and Mohamed Adeel 2 for 15 runs.
In the other match King Lions batted first and scored 111 runs. Good batting from Shakeel Bhia 17 runs (not out) and Tariq Mahmood 17 runs. In response Bury Panthers made 109 runs and lost the match by 2 runs. An excellent batting from Mohammed Hanfi 31 runs (not out) and Najabul 19 runs. Good bowling from Mohammed Tayab taking 2 wickets for 8 runs and Tariq Mahmood 2 for 15 runs.
The next two matches were between DLCC and DGS and Peshawar Panthers and Rochdalians. DLCC batted first and scored 104 runs. Good contribution from Bukari Sahib 30 runs (not out) and Mohamed Guffran 20 runs. In response DGS made 75 runs and lost the match. Good batting effort from Mohamed Sarfraz 21 runs and Mohamed Shahbaz 21 runs. Good bowling performance from Kamran Ahmed taking 2 wickets for 20 runs and Abdul Quyyom taking 1 wicket for 8 runs.
In the second match Peshawar Panthers batted first and scored 105 runs. Excellent batting from Waseem Qasim 37 runs (not out) and Mohamed Zahid 13 runs. In response Rochdalians won the match by 2 wickets. Good batting from Mohamed Hameed 32 runs (not out) and Mohamed Asif 20 runs. excellent bowling from Mohamed Arfan of Rochdalians taking 2 wickets for 8 runs and Waseen Qasim 2 wicket for 18 runs.
A bye and 2 points awarded to Unique this week as 8 Worriers pulled out of the league.
Again it was a very entertaining day for the spectators and the teams. All the matches were played in good sprit. Big thank from Abdul Quyyom, Tayyab and M Siddique (organisers). They also appreciated all the help given by volunteers and in particular M. Tayyab, and Faisal helping with umpiring and scoring duties.
