Rochdale Rugby League players are to unite again as they look to represent the Borough in a winter series of games.
Following games last year against Great Britain Students, Great Britain Fire Brigade, Rochdale Hornets, Manchester and District and The Royal Navy, the team, made up of the best community club players within the district, will again come together to showcase the best Rugby League talent in the Borough.
Dave Ramsbottom (Rochdale Cobras) will again lead the coaching staff alongside Rochdale Mayfield’s NWC Head Coach Leon Ashworth. Up and coming coaches Adam Browne (Littleborough) and Scott Jepson (Whitworth Spartans) complete the 4 strong coaching team.
Games are currently being planned for the winter months, with a 'Roses' clash with Castleford and Featherstone, a battle for local pride with Rochdale Hornets and an internationally flavoured bout with Fiji UK all currently being discussed.
Any player interested in representing the Borough are asked to come along to the open training sessions, starting on Wednesday 2 November, at Kingsway Park Sports Centre (formerly Springhill), 7.00- 8.00pm.
