Show your support to Dale and Springhill Hospice
Date published: 22 September 2011
Football fans and hospice supporters alike are being offered a great opportunity to see live football and support a good cause at the same time.
Each year the Football League nominates a charity partner and this season the official charity partner is Help the Hospices and each Football League club has been paired up with their local hospice.
So when Rochdale AFC take on Walsall FC in the second round of the Johnston’s Paint Trophy on Tuesday 4 October the price of the tickets will be discounted and a donation to each town’s hospice will be made.
Both clubs have agreed that the first £1 of the adult admission price will be donated to Springhill Hospice in Rochdale and St Giles Walsall Hospice.
A spokesperson for Rochdale AFC said: “This really is a win win win situation as you support your local club while at the same time supporting your local hospice and see live sup football at knock down prices.
“We’ve even thought of the children who will be back at school and to allow them to come and see the game we’ve made their price attractive and brought the kick off forward to 7.15pm.”
The price of an adult ticket is £5 and 16’s and under cost £1.
