Dale sign striker
Date published: 25 August 2011
Rochdale AFC has signed Matthew Barnes-Homer on loan from Luton Town until January.
The striker, 25, has been described as an ‘energetic talent.’
He initially joined Luton on a one month loan from Kidderminster Harriers before agreeing to a two and a half year deal in January 2010.
A change in tactics by the Luton boss has meant that his opportunities have been limited, therefore allowing the move to Spotland.
He told the Club’s website: "I'm happy to be here and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
"I believe Steve Eyre had been keeping an eye on me for a while and as I'm not playing at Luton Town it was a good opportunity for both parties.
"I'm here until January and I know I have to work hard to get into the team and I'm sure the way Rochdale play will suit my style.
"I'm a quick and strong player and I love to get in behind the defence and I love to score goals."
