Every day this week Rochdale Online will run a feature from the Rochdale Supporters Trust about who they are and what they do…
Monday 8 August 2011:
Welcome to Trust Week – an annual feature we run with the aim of promoting what we are about, and what we try to do for the club and for fans. We will have a story every day this week, each about a different benefit you will enjoy by becoming a Trust member. The first one is a brand new benefit which has only recently been secured, and which we feel is one of the best things we have been able to do for fans.
Following a request from the Trust, the directors of the football club have been speaking on our behalf to Greater Manchester Police. These discussions have been successful, and therefore we can announce that this season (and hopefully future seasons after this) Supporters Trust members will be able to purchase their ticket for a designated all-ticket game on the day of the game itself.
This season, there will be even more designated all-ticket games, against Huddersfield, Preston, Bury, Sheffield Wednesday, Oldham and Sheffield United. As with last season, this will not affect season ticket holders, but non season ticket holders will have to buy their ticket before the day of the match. That is, unless you are a Trust member. Members will be allowed to buy their ticket on the day. However, this is strictly limited to one ticket per member, and only upon production of a valid Trust membership card for this season.
An important thing to note however is that if you were to join the Trust and receive your membership card this Saturday before the Huddersfield game, you will not be able to buy a match ticket on the day, because your name won’t be on the list of members that we will have already given to the ticket office. So you will need to join the Trust prior to Saturday’s match in order to take advantage of this fantastic scheme.
To join, simply come up to our desk in the Ratcliffe Suite before tomorrow night’s game against Chesterfield, or you can join online at: http://www.daletrust.org.uk/membership.asp
